In early December, East Midlands and West Midlands AHSN held a joint Innovation Exchange event: Digital Technologies in Mental Health and Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT). The event brought together the regions’ Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs) and Integrated Care Systems (ICS) along with the East and West Mental Health Clinical Networks and innovators with solutions already in use in health and care settings.

Following the event, the Midlands AHSNs have announced a call for project proposals. Organisations from across the health and social care system in both the East and West Midlands are invited to apply for funding support to undertake demonstrator projects that real-world test innovations showcased at the event. The AHSNs will provide funding for the applied innovation, evaluation of the impact and development of the business case to support sustainability and spread.
