Cardiovascular disease prevention
UCLPartners is committed to progressing its Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) prevention programme to drive large scale prevention of heart attacks, strokes and other circulatory problems.
We focus on innovators who have a technology or service near or ready for market. If you are at an earlier stage we can signpost to another organisation for help. We can help to spread products, technologies or services already on the market with the required regulatory approvals and clinical evidence, across the NHS.
The incidence of melanoma is increasing faster than any other form of cancer, and it is responsible for the majority of skin cancer deaths. Patients in whom melanoma is diagnosed at stage I have more than a 95% chance of survival compared with 8-25% with a stage IV diagnosis, highlighting the importance of early and accurate diagnosis. Skin Analytics have crafted a series of AI algorithms that can take a dermascopic image of a skin lesion and help identify skin cancer.

Our team includes a mix of backgrounds from molecular biology and clinical through to clinical pharmacy, NHS management, IT and commissioning.
This multi-disciplinary group understands the science behind the technology, the potential challenges the company may face when working with the NHS, and the business case required for procurement, so are in a good position to help with adoption and spread of new technology.
